Opener = meh / Kitchen Aid = good, December 2, 2011

The black parts of the opener are solid plastic - no cushiony material for ease of opening. This is just your run of the mill can opener. It lasted a solid two years for me before it died this month. It's pretty rusty and the metal bent.

**I contacted Kitchen Aid customer service through the Kitchen Aid website. No questions asked, Kitchen Aid offered to send me a replacement. It doesn't mention that in the warranty information, so I wanted to let everyone else know. The product isn't great ...

who made this terrible device? it takes me more than three tries to even make a slight cut around the edge of the can. what ever happened to quality control?

there's no strength when I use the handles on this "can opener" and its two blades don't cut deep enough in the metal. I have not ever opened a can once with this can opener, and ...
